  • My 6 year old self named this girl! I've known (about) her since she was in utero.
I'd say when we spent 4 months traveling around Asia together after she graduated. Good times.
Time for a repeat -- this time in Europe maybe?

  • We're now a family of 4.
We're smitten to have our cutest new addition to the Moens fam, little miss Millie Eloïse Moens.

  • The Phantom Menace - I'm a fan of young Anakin.

  • Books! Back in the day, I was Michelle's human Audible. I would literally read HP chapters to her.

  • Happy Lemon Milk Tea with 3x extra rock salt and cheese.

I popped out a really cute baby girl with this snack as a staple on my preggy menu. Ha!

  • Everything, Everywhere, All at Once - Toddler and newborn edition.

  • Fed sat behind me in 7th grade Algebra and I pulled him into a group conversation by asking him if he masturbates. I don’t remember this question, but I can see it happening 😂

My favorite memories are probably the week long camp trips at Camino Cove going boating, making Nutella and fluff, and standing waist deep in water.

  • Just bought a house! (a year ago, but still earlier than I thought I would)

  • Episode III mainly because of the fight scenes (Anikin and Obi wan/Palpatine and Jedis) and the development arc of Anikin descending into darkness really made sense for him. While I didn’t want him to do what he was doing, I understood why he had to. (Shoutout to episode 2 because the arena scene on Geonosis was incredible. Would be number one if it weren’t for the sand scene)

  • Harry Potter movies for sure. While less in depth and detailed, they are easier to revisit the whole story. I love being able to marathon the story from start to finish over the course of two days.

  • A Nutella and Fluff.

White on the outside and a mix of white and brown on the inside. I’m not an every day snack for most, but when you eat it it’s always delicious. On the surface some may not be interested, but the first time you put it in your mouth you are blown away by how delicious it is.

  • Hotlanta

A story about a guy from California living in the south just observing how weird people seem.

  • I was a young, bright-eyed freshman ready to take on the world and joined UCSB’s Filipino Club, Kapatirang Pilipino, during Winter Quarter. My first events were coincidentally during Michelle’s Cultural week, where I forced some non-filipino dorm friends to attend her Pistahan event with me for the promise of free Filipino food. Game tickets were required to eat, so I went to her Tagalog table and helped my friends cheat by translating words for them.

IT WAS LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT (for Michelle). After that event, I applied for a Kuyate/Mentor to show me the ropes and guide me in my college journey. Little did I know, behind the scenes there was drama afoot. Turns out Michelle was battling everyone and anyone to have ME as her Ading/Mentee (her words not mine).

THUS PRETTY LINE WAS BORN! Since being picked up, I have NEVER left her side. I lived in her apartment that summer, I was a cultural dance coordinator for her PCN, and post-college we worked together professionally for 3 years at a medical company that shall not be named (IYKYK).

8 years later, I hope she thinks she made the right decision, because now she’s stuck with me for life!

  • In my free time you’ll find me eagerly awaiting BTS to return in 2025. Lol jk

I’m most likely visiting Alvin in Las Vegas, traveling, at a concert/music festival or attempting to sew an outfit for a concert/music festival.

When I'm not buried under a blanket watching competition shows, I enjoy staying active by occasionally following along to Blogilates workouts or learning Kpop dances.

Let’s take a shot of tequila together at the reception and dance the night away!

  • Solo for Childish Gambino and Daenerys Targaryen 😛

  • I did read the first three Harry Potter books in middle school (trust) but then when it came to the fourth, Goblet of Fire, it was too heavy to carry around so I just returned it to the library…

I obviously just watched all the movies instead, and my favorite actually ended up being the fourth, Goblet of Fire, because I love a good competition

  • Chamoy Gusher

You get the best of all worlds. Sweet, spicy, and salty with a perfect chew and soft insides just like me.

  • Kaitlin’s Magnificent Race (KMR)

Travel reality show where I go country to country and complete all the challenges in the amazing race (purely for research purposes, not personal enjoyment at all)

  • Chellie and I have so many memories to share, from when we were little, to being boy crazy teenagers, adventurous young adults, to actual adults!

Some of the best moments were definitely when we were teenagers. There was one summer after sophomore year going into junior year when Chellie stayed in San Diego with us for 2 months! She taught me how to put on eyeliner and definitely helped changed my wardrobe from basketball shorts to dresses and rompers! I think that may have been the same summer where we kept a journal together and we had a list of cute boys in the back, and number one was Oliver James from What a Girl Wants! We were madly in love with him and even Wilbur from Meet the Robinsons!

While we have many highlights throughout our lives, every moment and time speny with Chellie is always a good time. Love her to pieces and she is more like my sister than my dad’s sister, LOL!

  • Going on consecutive trips and vacations! And just climbing all the time!

  • EPISODE III IS THE BEST!
Obi wan versus Anakin scene! And just seeing Anakin’s transition to the dark side is everything.

  • I have to choose Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie because I loved the Triwizard tournament!

  • If I were a snack, I would be a bucket of fries.

I AM the best snack because you can enjoy fries in many different ways. Like cheese? Get some powdered, inspired by potato corner or load it with sour cream, melted american cheese and why not add bacon bits? Feeling a little plain? Just have it with ketchup or ranch! Feeling fancy? Let’s make it truffle fries.
Can’t go wrong with a bucket of fries!!

  • If I can star in my own series, it’ll definitely be some kind of documentary. It’d be titled “Cris Conquers,” where I take on big adventures or try new sports each episode!

  • I met Michelle and Fed during my freshman year at UCSB. I was paired with Michelle (and Sarah) as roommates at the infamous FT Towers (iykyk) and Fed ended up living on the same floor as us! It was truly such serendipity because Fed, Michelle, and I attended the same orientation earlier that year and we ended up all living on the same floor! We were destined to be friends. :’) After freshman year, Michelle and I (and the rest of the Fab 5) continued to be roommates until we graduated and we have been friends ever since!

Some of my fondest moments with Michelle are all the moments we hang out and just do nothing. That may sound weird to some, but having a friend that you can just do nothing with and enjoy each others company is often hard to find! She is truly a one of a kind person and friend! I can always count on her to have a relaxing time and for her to enable my fun (bad) decisions. I can also always count on her to try new foods and lavish in the luxuries of life. Michelle has best taste of anyone I know!

  • My current life highlight is trying to beat Tears of the Kingdom!! (Legend of Zelda)

  • Sorry Fed, but my favorite episode of Star Wars is Episode IV: A New Hope, solely because it was released in the 70s which was arguably one of the best eras of film ever.

  • Ok, I will be honest, I have never read the books, so I will have to go with the Harry Potter movies (which are all still great by the way).

  • If I was a snack, I would be the now-discontinued Lime Jalapeno Ruffles.

Not only do they have a spice that wakes up the senses, it is followed by a citrusy refreshing aftertaste that just cannot be beaten! Much like that chip, I like to think that I have a spicy personality with a dash of coolness!

  • Anarchy

The show would be all about an inside agent trying to dismantle an evil government from the inside.

  • The first memory I have of Fed is when I was at lunch with Fed, Aaron, and Jordan freshman year and I was new to the group. We all headed to one of the restrooms on campus and Aaron went into one of the stalls and Fed grabbed a trash can and dumped it over the stall on him.

One of my fondest moments though is going on our bro date to Chilis on New Year’s Eve before going to April’s party (which got shut down 5 minutes after we arrived) so we went home and played drunk driving Mario Kart until the New Year.

  • Living in Texas surviving on crawfish, bbq, and texmex. Got 3 wild, handsome sons that are driving Taylor and I up the wall! Taylor is almost a paramedic and finishing school and I am now responsible for the city of San Antonio in my market and things are moving on up!

  • Episode III is the best because we all know what happens when you have the higher ground Anakin and I love to rub it in his smug face.

My personal favorite is V because Yoda looks like a puppet from Sesame Street. It’s the dumbest reason but I love watching Yoda interact with Luke.

  • Movies, because I’ve only read a few books, yet I own them all. I’m a disappointment. I have a goal before the wedding. My wife has yelled at me for years over this too and it’s another reason to make this happen.

  • Klondike bar because everyone would do anything for me!

  • Adulting and Afraid

I’m almost 30 years old and I feel like this whole getting older thing was a lie about being better. 😂

  • I met Fed one of the first few days after moving into the dorms at UCSB. I thought he looked like a guy I despised in high school, so obviously I’m not going to get along with him right? Well I was taking the bus one night with him and we talked about the Halo games as well as the vastness of the universe. So naturally, despite my initial expectation, we would end up being close roommates for the next 3 years of college.

One of the fondest memories I have with Fed was when we were walking home from a party in college and he found a wad of cash on the ground! Fed was always good at scouting for treasure but nothing can top that.

Another great memory I have with Fed is when we were playing Halo in his dorm room. We had The Dark Knight soundtrack in the background and had the most epic game where the two of us completely dominated a 16 person team!

  • Moved to San Diego! It’s just a bigger version of Santa Barbara

  • I’d have to say A New Hope because it started the whole universe!

  • Chamber of Secrets movie because that is the one I had on DVD as a kid so I watched it the most. But the very last one was pretty awesome.

  • A Cadbury’s Milk Chocolate bar. Made in India, delicious, and somewhat whitewashed

  • IV Vigilantes

A combination of thriller and comedy about a group of guys working in the shadows to stop crime in the rowdy college town of Isla Vista. Think Batman but funnier.

  • I met Fed in Middle School. We bonded over a love of creativity, academics, Star Wars and adventure. My fondest memories of Fed are too numerous to recount. I will always consider him the most Italian of all the Stallions.

  • I just graduated law school and am taking the bar in July!

  • Obviously, its Rise of Skywalker……SIKE. Anyone who agreed with the previous statement can fight me.

My favorite Star Wars Episode is V. I understand it’s cliché to say but growing up, my Uncle would let me watch it every time I stayed the night at his house. For me it’s the nostalgia. Plus it has some of the greatest one-liners in the trilogy: “I love you”…. “I know”; “your highnessness”; “laugh it up fuzzball”; “Why, you stuck up, half-witted, scruffy-looking...nerf-herder!”…. “who you calling scruffy?”

  • Harry Potter books are superior to the movies for the following reasons that will be explained in detail: (i) continuity, (ii) depth and (iii) the use of an omniscient narrator.

First, the continuity of having a single storyteller in the books creates an unmatched advantage to the multiple story tellers of the movies. JK Rowling’s Philosopher’s Stone (UK) was released in 2007. The last installment was published in 2007. The first four books were published in successive years, 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000. The books became more voluminous and release dates slowed down to 2003, 2005, 2007. By truncating the release dates, J.K. Rowling was able to create a perfectly continuous story line. The final words in each book strung together effortlessly with the first words of the next. Furthermore, J.K. Rowling was the sole author of the novel series.

In comparison, the Harry Potter movies were directed by a few directors, including Chris Columbus (Movies 1 and 2), Afonso Cuaron (3), Mike Newell (4) and David Yates (5, 6, 7.1 and 7.2). Using multiple directors meant that the masterpiece was told just a little bit differently. The differences in genre and color palate between movies 2 and 3, and then again between 3 and 4, and again between 4 and 5 jar the consumer and many could feel that they are watching a spinoff series.

Furthermore, the books boast a formidable, in-depth story line that focuses not just Harry’s lifelong battle with the Dark Arts but also a boy coming of age, first loves, true loves, heartbreak, friendship and loyalty. In the books the reader learns why Aunt Petunia hates magic, how the Marauders came to be, and learns step by step how Tom Marvolo Riddle became Lord Voldemort.

Finally, the use of an omniscient third-party narrator allows the reader to engage in and fully discover the magical world because the reader knows exactly what Harry is thinking. Although Daniel Radcliffe does his best to let the movie watcher know what he is feeling through facial expressions and exaggerated conduct, the novels allow the reader to know exactly what Harry is thinking and form our own opinions as to how he should feel given the situation he is in. This also allows readers to form a deeper connection with Harry. The reader is allowed into his mind, which creates a deeper bond that increases the satisfaction of consuming the literature.

  • If I were a snack I would be a SugarFree RedBull.

I think I’ve consumed enough of them during law school that my blood might actually be part RedBull.

A SugarFree RedBull is the optimal snack because it hydrates, satiates and it gives you wings.

  • If I were the main character of a new series it would be a mix of fear factor, myth-busters and late-night talk show. I love trying new things, I love building things and I love getting to know new people.
